With more than 200 students completing our program in 2025–2026 and more than 2,000 readers strengthened over the past decade, TTLM continues to demonstrate what is possible when a community invests in its children.
“This is truly a remarkable achievement,” said The Honorable Douglas H. Palmer, Chairman of The Trenton Literacy Movement Board of Trustees. “It is not only a testament to the hard work of our board but also to our students and the unwavering commitment of the parents, the Trenton Public Schools administrators, teachers, principals, and support staff who have stood with us in this mission every day for 10 years.”
As TTLM began the 2025–2026 academic year, TTM remained focused on a clear and united vision: ensuring that the most vulnerable children in Trenton’s elementary schools receive the literacy support they need to read, learn, and achieve.
Edward W. Bullock, President of The Trenton Literacy Movement Board of Trustees, added, “As we move forward, together with the district, we will continue to align our goals, strengthen our partnerships, and reaffirm the truth we all know—reading is the foundation that unlocks every other opportunity, and in the words of Frederick Douglass, ‘Once you learn to read, you will be forever free.’”
